Refund Policy
Refund Policy for Group Music Lessons, Group Music Therapy Sessions, and Creative Arts Alliance Classes Enrollment
Missed Group Lessons/Sessions/Classes (No-Shows): No refunds are available.
Early Withdrawal
If a student or parents wish to withdraw their child from a multi-week group course:
- Prior to the program start date, Heartland Music Therapy Services (HMTS) and Alpha Bell Music Service (ABMS) will issue a refund, deducting the non-refundable registration and processing fee. Creative Arts Alliance (CAA) will issue a refund, deducting the processing fee.
- Within the first 2 weeks: HMTS, ABMS, and CAA allow the student to find a replacement for their spot. The funds will be registered under the new person, plus a new registration fee (registration fee is only for HMTS and ABMS).
- Midway or late in the term: Refunds are not provided, and transfers are not allowed.
- Notice Requirement: Parents must submit a formal withdrawal request by email or physical form, typically requiring 7 days’ notice.
HMTS-Initiated Cancellations
- Low Enrollment: If a group class does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement, ABMS will issue a full refund or offer to transfer the balance to another class.
- Teacher Absence or Bad Weather: HMTS, ABMS, and CAA do not issue immediate refunds. They first schedule a mandatory make-up date at the end of the term or arrange a substitute teacher. HMTS, ABMS, and CAA provide a refund or account credit only if they cannot offer a make-up date.
